Steps for a Repeated Model Project
1. Select One of Our Models
To begin your project, simply select a model from the ODG Models link provided to you. This will give you a good starting point for your design process.
2. Provide the Following Site Information:
Once you have selected a model, you'll need to provide us with some basic site information. This includes the location of the house, including front and side distances. If you have a garage, we'll need to know the garage side as well. Additionally, we'll need to know the type and brand of windows and doors you want in your home, whether they are impact or non-impact.
3. Design Process
After we have received your 100% deposit and gathered all of the necessary information, we will begin the design process. This typically takes 2 to 3 weeks, during which time we will conduct a soil percolation test and prepare all of the required plans and documentation. Please note that clients may request plan modifications which may delay the process and/or cost extra.
4. Permit Submittal for County Review (Time Frame Depends on the County or City)
Once the design process is complete, we will submit your plans for county review. This typically involves an initial submittal, during which the documents are reviewed for the first time. If corrections or additional information are needed, we will inform you of these changes and work to correct them as soon as possible. After the initial review, there will be a final review to ensure that all corrections have been addressed or clarified. Please note that the time frame for county review can vary depending on the location.
5. Permit Outtake
Once the county has approved your plans, we will work with you to meet any final conditions and/or pay any pending county/city fees. Once all of these steps have been completed, we can finally obtain the approved documents from the county.
Permit Approved!!!
6. Construction Phase
Once we have obtained the approved documents, we will begin the construction phase of your project. This can be done either by a contractor/builder or as an owner-builder.
